Financial Spectrum financial planners help you make smart decisions with your money so that you can get all you want out of life. We do this through a strategic financial modelling process, focussed on understanding you, what you want in the future and modelling different strategies to get you there.
Our financial advice is so much more than just investing and covers a broad range of issues. Would you like a strategy to buy your first property? Would you like to work out a way to give your children a private education? Or do you need a more sophisticated investment strategy to guarantee a better future for you and your family?
Financial advisors can give you an “edge” on your future. By working with a financial advisor you may be able to achieve more than you ever thought possible or reach your goals faster. Financial advisers are likely to know ways to get you to where you want to be that you may not have considered or even know about. They also help you take control of your money and give you confidence in your future.
It’s a common misconception that you need to be wealthy to see a financial adviser. Most of our clients have never seen a financial adviser before deciding to work with us. Many come to us for help with a strategy for better day-to-day saving, buying their first home or starting a family.
You’re never too young or old to receive quality financial advice. It’s an excellent way to work out how to achieve your future goals and make effective decisions around major life events. Whether you want to buy your first home, expand your family, start a business, fund children’s education or retire sooner, our financial advisers help people at all stages of their lives.
Just about everyone can benefit from seeing a financial advisor. It’s an excellent way to work out how to achieve your future goals and make effective decisions around major life events. Seeing a financial advisor can often be particularly pertinent if you have a big event on the horizon — purchasing of your first house or investment property, the arrival of a baby, or preparing for retirement. In all of these events (and many more) consulting with a financial advisor can be extremely helpful.
“Financial planner” and “financial advisor” are simply two different terms for a professional who offers a range of financial services. This can sometimes lead to misunderstandings among the public — however, they’re the same thing.
When you’re choosing a financial advisor in Australia, it’s often worth starting with your family and friends. They may have previous experience working with one and be able to provide you with success stories — and in some cases, who to avoid, too. More broadly, look for a financial advisor who is independently-owned and investigate their licence, qualifications and fee structure when meeting with them to ensure that they’re reputable.
As a general rule, we recommend financial advisors who charge upfront fees rather than receiving commissions. We charge a fee for the time we spend with our clients and take no commissions from banks, fund managers, insurers or other financial organisations. This means that you can rely on our financial planners to provide you with uncompromised, expert financial advice that is tailored to your individual needs.
Our financial planners also do not charge for the initial meeting, as we like to get to know you first and understand how we can make a difference in your life. Once we understand what you’d like to achieve and where we can add value, we’ll prepare a proposal outlining the specific fees. This approach allows you to get to know us and make an informed decision before coming on board as a client.
Financial Spectrum completely rejects commissions — a feature which sets us apart in the financial planning industry and has awarded us the most us most trusted financial advice practice in Sydney.
Because we get no benefit from the financial products that we recommend, we will only suggest a particular product or course of action if we believe it will help you reach your goals and represents the best route to do so. We are also able to offer the full suite of financial products, some of which other financial advisors may avoid because there is limited benefit to them personally.
What this means to you as our client is that you can rely on us to provide you with uncompromised, expert financial advice that is tailored to your individual needs.
Our financial advisors and paraplanners are all at a minimum degree qualified with diplomas in financial planning. All of our financial advisors have been practicing for 15 plus years.
In order for an individual to call themselves a certified financial planner, they must pass an extensive series of exams, as well as meet other education and ethics requirements. All of our financial planners at Financial Spectrum meet these standards, are degree qualified and have years of experience in helping clients achieve what they want out of life.
Legally, every financial advisor must put the interests of their clients ahead of their own, so every financial advisor should be a fiduciary financial advisor. In addition to our own professional standards, being completely fee based and rejecting commissions gives our clients comfort knowing that there is no incentive for any of our financial advisors to do anything other than act as a fiduciary.
We’re a leader in the financial advice industry, backed by years of experience. We’re so confident about creating value for you in excess of the fees we charge, that we guarantee it with a 100% money-back guarantee.
We can’t, and no financial advisor can absolutely guarantee the protection of your assets. Be wary of ones that say they can! We will design a strategy that will take the upmost care in mitigating risk, but any investment outside of government bonds and bank deposits will carry some risks.
Financial Spectrum is a privately owned financial planning and accounting firm. This means that we work solely for the benefit of our clients and not for the financial institutions whose products we may recommend.
We understand our clients have busy lives and that it’s not always possible to meet during standard business hours. Our financial planners will always do our best to accommodate client’s needs and can hold meetings outside standard business hours where possible. If it makes If makes life easier, we also offer consultations via Zoom for your convenience.
Our Sydney financial planners take care of clients all over Australia. If you live outside of Sydney, we can offer consultations with our financial planners via Zoom. You’ll receive exactly the same high-quality service as you would if you walked into one of our offices.
Once a client’s financial plan is implemented, the level of contact depends on the client’s situation and needs. We speak to some clients every couple of months, others we might not see for several years until they contact us for help. We tailor our service to meet needs rather than a cookie cutter approach.
